Worcester is the focal and economic hub of the Breede Valley and is tucked away at the foot of the magnificent Brandwacht, Overhex and Langeberg Mountains.

Worcester, with the Breede River and Hex River flowing on either side of the town, falls within the transition habitat of fynbos (Cape Flora) and Succulent Karoo, and the Karoo Desert National Botanical Garden, situated against a spectacular backdrop of mountain peaks, is a must-see on your itinerary.
The town and surrounds are perfect if you’re into the outdoors; yachting and gliding, canoeing, biking, hiking and mountaineering, water sports at the Brandvlei and Quaggaskloof Dams, 4x4 trails, trout fishing, horse riding and golf are some of the many outdoor activities to indulge in.
