Cruise Cape Town, a strategic initiative powered by Wesgro, is dedicated to developing the cruise economy in Cape Town and the Western Cape. This endeavour strives to enhance the Western Cape's competitiveness, bolstering tourism, driving economic growth and facilitating job creation.
The focus areas of the project include; the cruise tourism development, removing industry constraints for arriving vessels, and promoting regional tourism spread across the Western Cape and South Africa.

The Cruise Cape Town project is a partnership between five government entities, comprising of Wesgro, the Western Cape Government, the City of Cape Town, the South African Maritime Safety Association, and Transnet National Ports Authority, as well as select private sector partners.
