Nestled at the foot of the landmark Sleeping Beauty Mountain, Riversdale has earned its reputation as the floral paradise of the Garden Route and Klein Karoo, due to the abundance of indigenous fynbos (Cape Flora) blanketing the mountains and surrounding region.

The Sleeping Beauty and Langeberg Mountains offer a wealth of activities from walking, rock climbing, bird-watching, horse-riding and horseback safaris, paragliding, hang gliding to abseiling alongside waterfalls.

Riversdale makes an ideal stop over or base for exploring the area and is within a few kilometres of seaside towns such as Stilbaai and Witsand and also an excellent base for one-day trips to explore the variety of natural beauty, charming 19th century restored houses, breathtaking hiking trails and exquisite mountain scenery.
