The famous Heerenlogement (“lords’ lodging”) served as an overnight refuge for a number of famous South Africans, including brandy legend Olaff Bergh, who came to Graafwater in search of the mythical Monomotapa gold. Experiences in this little town include hiking trails, mountain biking, game drives and viewing San rock art.
