Goedverwacht was originally a farm inherited by a freed slave and her descendants, but in 1889 the land was sold to Moravian missionaries. Today the area is known for its beautiful fynbos (Cape Flora), diverse birdlife, wild flowers, fascinating rock formations and historical buildings. Tranquility and breathtaking sights are the order of the day.
