Caledon is most famous for its hot water springs which were discovered by the "Khoi khoi", the indigenous people who roamed the land long before the first settlers arrived.

Take a walk down historic Mill Street, a conservation area and feast your eyes on the well-preserved architecture of the Holy Trinity Church, the Town Hall, old Masonic Lodge and Standard Bank building. There's even an old water mill at Beaumond farm.

Wine tasting at a variety of cellars is possible and the olive farm at Porcupine Hills is a treat. Enjoy a bit of browsing at the Botriver Market every Saturday or pop by the Houw Hoek Farm Stall, Dassiesfontein Farm Stall, Van Brakel Stoor Farm Stall or Salandra Farm Stall.

The annual Caledon Wild Flower Show exhibits the area's spectacular and abundant array of fynbos (Cape Flora) . A walking trail through the Nature Reserve offers panoramic views of the surrounding areas and a fascinating look at the diversity of fynbos flowers in their natural habitat, some of which are found nowhere else in the world.
