The team that brings you the popular Ronde Series is proud to introduce Giro del Mar, South Africa’s brand-new 5-day road cycling stage race! Starting in beautiful Cape Town, the race winds its way up the stunning West Coast before culminating in a thrilling summit finish atop the mighty Piketberg mountains.

Designed for serious competitors and weekend warriors alike, the race combines challenging routes with breathtaking scenery and top-tier organization along safe, quiet roads.

With proper media coverage ensuring that the action reaches a wider audience, the Giro del Mar promises an exhilarating showcase of endurance, strategy, and pure cycling passion.

• The tour will kick off on Day 1 in the heart of Cape Town, with a hill-climb time-trial prologue from Camps Bay to the top of Signal Hill.
• Day 2 sees us move up to Piketberg with a fast, flat stage out to Velddrif.
• Day 3 is a stunning coastal route from Velddrif to Lambert’s Bay with a few short, sharp climbs to start testing the bunch.
• Day 4 is an individual time-trail – a flat out & back from the legendary Muisbosskerm in Lambert’s Bay.
• Day 5 – our Queen stage – from Lambert’s Bay to Bo-Piketberg. The stage starts fast and flat as a gentle build up to the ultimate show down on one of the Cape’s most iconic climbs: The Versfeld Pass! Think an 8km climb with 500m elevation, switchbacks, breathtaking views, the whole deal!

This is an individual race, but the Elite Men and Women must race in a 3-6 rider Team.

*Neutral support vehicles will be available for Bunch 3, Bunch 4 and the Social Bunch

**Support vehicles are permitted for riders in Bunch 3 and 4 but must service a minimum of 6 riders (individuals or team).

• Baggage transfer from town to town for riders without outside support.
  • Riders without outside support can leave their cars in our secure parking area at Bo-Piketberg where Stage 2 starts and Stage 5 finishes.

What do you need to organise:

• Your own accommodation and meals
• Support vehicle if you want one (one vehicle must service 6 riders minimum)
• This is a CSA sanctioned event, so you’ll need a CSA license. If you do not have one, you can purchase a daily licence at registration.
