This February, South Africa celebrates a milestone in its wine history: the 366th South African grape wine harvest. As the home of some of the world’s most bountiful vineyards, Cape Town and the Western Cape stand as a gastronomic wonderland, featuring award-winning restaurants and a history deeply intertwined with the vine.
South Africa is the only country in the world that can pinpoint the exact origin of its wine industry, thanks to a diary entry dated 2 February 1659. Join us this February in celebrating South Africa’s Wine Birthday month!
