Safari Ostrich Farm

Safari Ostrich Farm is home to the world’s only Tractor Safari on an Ostrich Farm. Enjoy unrivalled access to Ostriches in a safe, responsible yet fun and informative manner. The tour takes you inside the South African Ostrich and Zimbabwean Ostrich breeder bird camps. See how they go about their daily business, and you may even see them tending to their nests during the breeding season. Learn about their unique differences and characteristics. Take amazing photographs of the largest birds on our plant. We take you to our chick rearing area where you can learn about the raising of Ostrich chicks and see different age groups depending on the time of the year.

The second part of our tour is a short walk where you can see rare White Ostriches and the incredible Ostriches from Kenya we refer to as Kenyan Reds due to their distinctive colouring during the summer months. At our information centre you can touch, feel, and smell Ostrich leather. Learn about historical importance of Ostrich feathers and what makes them so unique. Ostrich eggs can be carved, decoupaged and even made into lamps.

Safari Ostrich Farm serves a variety of delicious meals and cater for those who prefer a vegetarian option.
