Where do you go? How will you be able to drive afterwards? What are the best estates to visit?
The Franschhoek Wine Tram is the answer to these and more questions.
How does the Franschhoek Wine Tram work?
It’s simple: buy a ticket for the Franschhoek Wine Tram, either online or at the ticket office in Franschhoek, board a tour, and you will be taken to up to eight wine estates in the Franschhoek Valley via tram and tram-bus. It’s fun, convenient and an adventure all rolled into one!
The experience is hop-on, hop-off, which means you can stay at each estate as long as you want. The tram or tram-bus comes around at least every hour, so if you want to indulge in a decadent lunch after your wine tasting, no problem.
Each tour stops at different wine estates, so if you’re looking to visit a specific estate, research the tours in advance as you need to book for a specific tour. Learn more about the tours here.
If you’re part of a large group, make use of the Group Experience tour to make the most of your visit.
Your Franschhoek Wine Tram ticket does not include wine tastings or any eats along the way. The idea is that you have the freedom to create your own experience.
If you’re not based in Franschhoek, transfers to and from Cape Town and surrounds can easily be added to your booking – no drinking and driving here!
