Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport
CTAA assisted Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (MQP) in South Africa with route development from 2019 - 2023 which subsequently led to the first-ever direct intercontinental flight to MQP being announced. Eurowings Discover commenced its flight from Frankfurt to one of the most iconic and remote destinations in the world, the Kruger National Park, on 15 November 2022.
KMIA is the official international port of entry into Mpumalanga, home to one of the world’s most iconic game reserves, the Kruger National Park. The privately owned airport has welcomed over three million passengers since it began operations in October 2002. Boasting a total floor space of 7 350m2, this is the largest thatch-constructed airport in the world.
World Bank and Airports Company Zimbabwe
Through a World Bank contract, CTAA was subcontracted to assist Airports Company Zimbabwe (ACZ) with establishing their route development initiatives at Victoria Falls (VFA) and Harare International Airport (HRE). This led to the first-ever direct intercontinental service starting to VFA when Eurowings Discover launched their Frankfurt (FRA) -VFA service on 30 March 2022.
Airports Company Zimbabwe is responsible for managing and operating the major airports within Zimbabwe including Victoria Falls (VFA) and Harare International Airport (HRE).
Nelson Mandela Bay Route Development
Cape Town Air Access worked with the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber on route development and network improvements to Port Elizabeth.
The Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber is a not-for-profit company, representative of a broad spectrum of businesses in the Nelson Mandela Bay area. It is one of the largest business associations in the Eastern Cape with a membership of approximately 700 businesses.
