VIC BAY QUAD

The VIC BAY QUAD, taking place from May 3rd to May 5th 2025 at Victoria Bay in George. This is a prestigious surfing event, organized by Surfing South Africa (SSA). SSA is the recognized national governing body for surfing in the country. Responsible for promoting and managing the sport at all levels. This includes overseeing entry-level participation. Managing the South African Surf Tour (SAST) for juniors and selecting national teams for international competitions.

SSA plays a crucial role in the development of surfing in South Africa. Additionally, it is a member of the African Surfing Confederation (ASC) and a founding member of the International Surfing Association (ISA). The global governing body for the sport. SSA works in close collaboration with the World Surf League (WSL), sanctioning all WSL events held in South Africa. Further cementing its importance in the international surfing community.

The VIC Bay Quad brings together teams from Eden, Central Cape Town (CTS), Winelands, Nelson Mandela Bay (NMBS), and Buffalo City. These teams will compete in various surfing categories. Showcasing some of the best talent in South African surfing. The event is not only a significant opportunity for regional teams to compete but also a platform for SSA to scout potential talents for future national representation.
