Cape Town Marathon, 15 September
What to expect: Flat, fast and ideal for both elite and amateur runners, the Cape Town Marathon takes over the Mother City’s streets on the morning of 23 September. Darling wildflower show, 20 - 22 September
What to expect: Tthe Darling Wildflower Show is a celebration of the local biome of flora that form an integral part of the Cape Floral Kingdom. Hermanus whale festival, 29 September - 01 October
