TRADE COORDINATOR

This is a permanent position subject to the successful candidate signing a Performance Agreement.

Junior Level Position

All-inclusive remuneration package: Market Related

A Six-month probation period applies

The Incumbent will report to the Senior Trade Administrator

Purpose of the role:

To assist and support the Trade promotion unit to promote Cape Town and the Western Cape as a leading regional economy and facilitate economic growth through increased export activity.

The role is dedicated to supporting Western Cape business with exporting their goods and services to the rest of the world.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one (1) years’ work experience in the sector or similar environment
  • Minimum tertiary qualification of a degree, three-year diploma or relevant qualification (Trade, international relations, business management etc.)
  • Knowledge of trade industry and related challenges in the Western Cape economy
  • Knowledge on International economy and business in the Western Cape is advantageous
  • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and relevant procurement legislative prescripts is advantageous
  • Valid Code B driver’s license

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Administrative and back office daily support to the Trade unit with research, preparing presentations and briefing documents
  • Coordinate and assist with travel bookings and logistics around Inbound and Outbound missions
  • Coordinate and assist with all procurement activities of the trade unit
  • Provide support with logistics around a number of marketing opportunities for SMME's, special projects, programmes and missions
  • Support the trade stakeholders with compliance in accordance with PFMA regulation
  • Data capturing into Wesgro’s Customer Relation Management system and managing the system
  • Filing and assist with accurate evidence-based reporting
  • Stock control of marketing collateral
  • Assist with event management
