Country Brief Romania
The Romanian economy began to experience positive economic growth, which reached a high of 8.4% in 2004. It is the seventh largest market in Central and Eastern Europe, and has enjoyed relatively stable political and economic conditions. It is also centrally located, interlinked by three important transportation corridors., in addition to its own constantly improving infrastructure.
Huge Potential
Romania has begun the process of creating industrial and technological parks in order to reduce initial start-up costs. Benefits available include tax incentives, access to utilities and infrastructure, and potential local tax rebates. Romania hosts its own rich natural resources, while consumer and industrial demand for resources outside of the country continue to escalate.
