De Hoek Manor B&B
De Hoek Manor consists of five luxurious en-suite bedrooms, two conference venues, large verandas and two private courtyards. Our stylishly decorated bedrooms feature views over the oaks, mountains and Stellenbosch’s most iconic landmark, the Dutch Reformed ‘Moederkerk’ (‘Mother Church’). Cafés, restaurants, cinemas, designer boutiques, museums, curio shops, the Eerste River, Stellenbosch University and Boland College are all within easy walking distance.
De Hoek Manor is the ideal base for tourists and corporate executives to enjoy and experience the captivating beauty of Stellenbosch.
Besides the stunning example of neo-Gothic architecture provided by the Dutch Reformed ‘Moederkerk’ church (‘Mother Church’) - which happens to be the first thing you see when opening your windows at De Hoek Manor - the VOC Kruithuis (Powder House) (1777), the Old Rhenish Mission, the Church of St Mary (1852), the Coachman's Cottage and the old Burgerhuis (1797) are also worth visiting. Fortunately, all of these attractions are within easy walking distance from De Hoek Manor, some literally just across the road, so there’s no need to hop in a car or flag a taxi. Kids and adults alike may want to visit the Toy & Miniature Museum which is situated behind Stellenbosch’s Information Bureau and is the only one of its kind in South Africa.
